Description
Most Unusual Early Gettysburg Souvenir. A 6" high turned wood chalice with a Minie' ball imbedded in it with the legend "Between the Round Top (s)'". The larger letters were added at some point over top of the original pencil script letters which can be seen underneath. There is also a wooden 'puzzle' ring on the stem of the cup. Also included is a group of bullets including, 3 ringers, CS Gardner, .69 cal. Carbine, .44 pistol, and cleaners, that were inside the cup. About perfect condition with an original coat of old varnish. The first of these we've seen.Auction Info
