Description
Manifest of Federally Seized Confederate Silverware, manuscript Document Signed, "P Handers" (?), one page with verso docketing, 8" x 20.25", New Orleans, Louisiana, July 5, 1864. Here is a duplicate list of numerous silver table items valued at $541 that were "Captured by the forces of the United States and claimed to be the property of Brig Genl Fusilier C.S.A." This haul was to be disposed of on behalf of the U.S. Treasury and is signed by the Department's "Supervising Special Agent". Expected light aging, fine condition. Research yields no information about a General "Fusilier". Mighty strange.Auction Info
