Lot of 25 Unused Identified Civil War Generals and Officers Covers. A nice selection of covers with themes associated with general officers and officers primarily of the Union army. Several covers depict Generals George McClellan, Winfield Scott, Benjamin Butler, among others. Some have humorous images, including one particularly intriguing cover with what appears to be a depiction of fecal matter with the caption "To the Memory of General Dyer Rhea Price". Could the price in question be General Sterling Price? Most covers measure about 5.5" x 3.25", all covers exhibit some age toning to paper, six covers have remnants of glue spots on the back, else in very good condition.Auction Info
