Description

Civil War Relic Cavalry Saber Model 1860 Cavalry Saber with N.J. surcharge on the ricasso. Brass guard has been completely flattened, blade exhibits a dark and smooth finish. Attached to the guard is a leather sword knot exhibiting great wear. Scabbard is dark and shows surface roughness and pitting. Glued to the scabbard is a typed note stating that the sword was picked up near Burnsides' Bridge at Antietam.
