Civil War period, Rotary Valve, E Flat Circular Helicon Cornet marked on the bell by desirable Civil War maker "Firth Pond & Co./New York". 12" wide, 10 1/2" high. Silvered finish overall with 3/4" silvered floating rim. Overall about perfect untouched condition, with just one small period repair at the first turn, minor. Rotary valves work perfectly. Choice example of a very rare Civil War musical instrument, being the first example we've seen offered for sale.
