Civil War Henry .44 Caliber Repeating Rifle, Serial #5360 Standard configuration with octagonal barrel, brass frame and buttplate, caliber .44 Henry RF. The factory ladder rearsight has been removed from the dovetail and a notched rear sight has been added. Normal barrel markings are present and crisp. Mechanically perfect, very good bore. Barrel mostly dark exhibiting traces of blue turning brown mixed with very fine uniform pin point pitting. Lever and hammer smooth and dark. Brass frame very good with minor scattered bruises, tang drilled twice for peep sight. Wood displays horizontal cracks emanating from the butt plate, one with a thin line of fill.
