Civil War: 4th Pennsylvania Cavalry Regiment Veterans' Badge.

Gilded-brass, with pinback-pendant with yellow silk ribbon backing. The pendant, 41 x 13 mm, is marked 4th PA under which another bar, 41 x 13 mm, is suspended reading VET 1861-1865 CAV. The oblong, eight-sided, 45 x 25 mm drop features the badge of the Cavalry Corps, Army of the Potomac. No maker's marks. The 4th Pennsylvania Cavalry Regiment saw action in several major campaigns including Peninsula, Antietam, Gettysburg, the Wilderness and Appomattox.

Condition: Excellent.
