Description
British Pattern 1839 .75 Caliber Enfield Musket 39" barrel with British proofs at the breech. Lock marked Crown "V.R. Enfield, tight crisp action, nipple protector with attached chain. Barrel is smooth and dark with pitting at the bolster, lock is smooth and gray with sharp markings. Brass furniture very good with a few minor nicks. Wood has sharp edges, a few small tight cracks at the rear barrel pins and visible Enfield inspectors stamps. Wood finish has a red hue. Complete with original steel ramrod. A nice tight clean gun rarely seen in this country.Auction Info
