Description
Assorted U.S. Cavalry Equipment.Comprising: 1) Rock Island Arsenal Size 16 horse-hair cinch. 2) Similar to #1, but a smaller girth, marked "C 8 12". 3) Similar to the previous pieces, but with a solid cloth girth. 4) Another small example with heavy canvas girth. 5) Rock Island Arsenal Size 20 cinch with cloth girth. 6) Small size cinch with blue cloth girth. 7) Identical to #6. 8) Nearly identical to previous. 9) Similar to previous, but made entirely of leather with iron hardware. 10) Large cloth cinch or strap. 11) Similar to #10. Condition varies. Leather is generally stiff and the fittings rusted. The Bill Bentham Collection.
