[Civil War Era]. State of Connecticut, Commemoration Certificate for Service. Hartford, CT: July 4, 1867.One engraved document, framed to an overall 9.75"x 16". Not examined outside of frame. Issued by the State of Connecticut to veterans or their families to honor the sacrifices of citizen soldiers during the course of the war; this copy issued to Francis Wedge, Sergeant of Co. K, 2nd Artillery, Connecticut.
Condition: Toned; scattered soiling and foxing, some dampstaining; three large closed tears, one to each edge, affecting image; frame with minor edgewear.
