Description
[Civil War]. Discharge Certificates with Miscellaneous Documents. Two certificates, both measuring 8.5" x 11", discharging Private Peter Laughlin on September 24, 1864 at Springfield, IL, and Private Daniel LaFrienier (spelled Laffrinier) on June 27, 1865 at Alexandria, VA. Accompanying these certificates are personal papers, including a Marriage Certificate, Veteran Pension Papers, and newspaper clippings and photographs from a scrapbook.Condition: Certificates are toned throughout with some weakness and separation having occurred at folds, minor amounts of paper loss. Other papers and photographs are in fine condition.
