Victorian Black and White Style Morion Helmet, Probably Spanish.
The steel helmet of traditional form, having a crested skull with upturned front and rear brim. Roped patter edging to brim and crest. Brass lining rivets with a black hide/composite lining. Some hammer marks present. Fully etched with a scroll and floral pattern, black lines with gold/copper accents. A few game animals and figures near the top intertwined with the scrollwork. One piece, lightweight construction. Height: 12-inches, Length: 16-inches.

Condition: Good to very good, showing age wear. Fine pitting throughout. Black paint possible added later or retouched. Inside lining with scuffs, wear and separations. A few dents to one side near edged figure.
