Description
Clint Peoples Hat with Documentation.Tan hat owned by Clint Peoples. Marked inside CLINT PEOPLES / U.S. MARSHALL and WORTH WALDEN CO. / CUSTOM HATTER / DALLAS. A small tag reads EXTRA LONG OVAL. Approximately 14-inches long. Included in the sale is the book titled Captain Clint Peoples, Texas Ranger by James M. Day. Along with the book, the following letters are also included:
1) Photocopy of letter dated March 9, 1981; highlights stating "I am pleased to present to you for your personal collection one of my hats, a beaver 100 with the sweat band marked, "Clint Peoples U.S. Marshal."....I am delighted to know of your interest in the Texas Rangers and it gives me a great deal of pleasure to add these to your collection" Signed Clint T. Peoples, United States Marshall, Northern District of Texas.
2) Letter from Jack Waldrip dated April 30, 1993, Owner of Worth Walden Hat Co. stating; "I have examined a hat, size 7 1/8 with a 3" brim, with sweatband and lining both carrying the Worth-Walden Company logo. The sweatband is further stamped "Clint Peoples, U.S. Marshall." The Hat presently owned by Mr. and Mrs. Oran B. Jolley, was cleaned and clocked by this company for Marshall Peoples." Signed H.L.
