Description
Fluted Maximilian Close Helmet.Approximately 10 1/2-inches tall. An Interesting example of a Maximilian armor close helmet with articulated vented visor and hinged side elements with locking device. Standard design. Raised floral side rosettes. Plume holder on back of helmet. Thick roped border to neck area. No gorget. Possible replaced visor and contemporary add-ons. Overall weight: approximately 6 lbs.
Condition: Good as configured. Age wear, patina and some pitting throughout. Light rust and pitting inside. Some dings, mars and scratches to outside of helmet. A few small holes, loses to metal parts. Visor a bit tight, bent and possibly replaced.
