British Household Cavalry Other Ranks Helmet, C. 1880.British Household Cavalry Other Ranks helmet with red horse hair plume for the Horse Guard. White metal body with elaborate gilt trim and front plate, original leather liner with string adjuster. Complete leather chin strap with interlocking chain facing and large gilt rose bosses. In overall excellent condition with just one 2" shallow dent at the rear. An attractive and impressive 19th century British helmet in fine condition.
