by Yoshimichi - Muromachi Period.
	
 A Splendid Gold and Silver Inlaid Iron Helmet, 16th
Century.Of typical form, the iron helmet constructed of [12] vertical plates riveted together; each plate consists of [7] exposed rivets scaling in size towards the crown of the bowl. Decorated scrolling vines and leaves on the the overall surface, the visor depicting dragons and glowing jewels. Helmet is adorned with a three stage copper tehen kanamono which is slightly angled towards the rear and a four-lame neck guard lacquered black and laced in blue terminating in Fukigaeshi; all applied with stenciled leather and gilt-copper plum blossom crests, signed on the underside of the visor YOSHIMICHI. Dimensions: 16-inches width and 7 1/2-inches tall.
Note: Together with metal display stand, Kabuto bitsu [helmet box] and Origami.
Condition: Fine with age wear. An impressive helmet. Kabuto bitsu with handling wear. Ex. Collection Kozu Kobunka Kaikan Museum, Kyoto
