17th Century Indian Bikaner Mail Shirt.

Chain mail shirt is approximately 32-inches overall. Riveted iron rings open at the front and extends down to cover the upper parts of the leg. Front with iron plates each with hasps for closure of flower head design [currently held by string], with full length sleeves, the sides also incorporate a pair of iron plates. The back with three rows of vertically overlapping iron plates. Contained in a large wooden pedestal, which is 36 1/4-inches in height. Well made and displays well in pedestal. Full display size is 69-inches overall.

Condition: Very good. Front with typical age wear patina to rings, plates. Some losses, separations and some need to be fitted. Back with some corrosion present mostly to the vertical plates.
