Description
U.S. Springfield Model 1898 Krag Bolt Action Rifle.Serial no. 214783. .30-40 Krag. 30-inch barrel with fixed front sight and Model 1902 rear sight. Metal parts blued; receiver casehardened. Left side of receiver marked "U.S. / MODEL 1898 SPRINGFIELD ARMORY 214783". Walnut stock and hard guard. No visible cartouches. Metal buttplate with trap door for cleaning rod.
Condition: Good. Metal parts with a smooth brown patina; faint traces of case color on the receiver. Stock may be a replica replacement. Bore dark in the grooves but generally with strong rifling. Mechanically sound.
