    Description

    U.S. Springfield Armory Model 1898 Sporterized Krag Bolt Action Rifle.
    Serial no. 333808, .30-40 caliber, 30-inch barrel with fixed front blade sight and 2,000 yard rear elevation sight. Blued finish. Smooth walnut stock with sling swivels and leather shoulder sling. 1899 dated cartouche to left side of stock at wrist. Barrel band stamped: U. Metal buttplate with cleaning rod reservoir, three-piece cleaning rod present.

    Condition: Good. Retaining approximately 50-60% finish with scattered wear and pitting. Scattered scuffs and dings to stock. Some cracking and discoloring to leather. Action good. Strong bore.
