Description

U.S. Springfield Armory M1 Garand Semi-Automatic Rifle and Bayonet.
Serial no. 474655, .30-06 caliber, 24-inch barrel with adjustable rear sights and blade front sight. Barrel dated "1-42" and marked with a British nitro proof. Metal parts parkerized. Walnut stock with "S.A. / G.H.S." inspector and ordnance department cartouches on the left side and circle "P" on the underside of the wrist. Checkered metal buttplate with trap for cleaning tools. Sold with military-style leather sling. Accompanied by an unmarked Model 1905 bayonet and scabbard. Also comes with the original bill of sale dated August 31, 1959.

Condition: Excellent. Retaining 90% finish; stock lightly sanded but overall an attractive rifle. Excellent mechanically condition with a very good bore.
