Description
U.S. Model 1898 Springfield Armory Sporterized Krag Bolt Action Rifle.Serial no. 429446. .30-40 Krag. 24 ½-inch barrel with fixed blade front sight and Herter's compensator. Metal parts blued; receiver casehardened. Original stock has been shortened and modified for sporting use. Weaver K4 60B scope mounted to the left side of the receiver via a Pachmayr base. Sold with leather, military-style sling.
Condition: Good. Blue worn thin, casehardening mottle grey. Stock with moderate handling wear. The bore is bright but worn. Mechanically sound. Scope's optics clear. Leather sling in fair condition.
