Description
U.S. Model 1884 "Trapdoor" Rifle. Serial no. 447380, .45-70 caliber, 32 5/8-inch barrel. Standard configuration. Blued finish, case-hardened breech block and tang. Walnut stock with 1889 cartouche. Also block letter E on left side of stock near breech. Buffington rear sight. Condition: Fine as configured. Retaining approximately 50-60% blued finish. Slightly muted case colors. Scattered patches of fine frosting. Stock has been sanded and revarnished a long time ago. Bright bore.Auction Info
