Description
Winchester Second Model 1890 Slide Action Rifle. Serial No. 85219, .22 W.R.F. caliber, 24-inch octagonal barrel with standard sights. Blued finish. Case-hardened receiver. Takedown knob on the left sidewall. Walnut stock and grooved slide handle. Crescent metal buttplate. Manufactured 1900.Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 60-75% blue on the barrel, the remainder with a mottled grey/brown patina. Approximately 15-20% casehardening with the balance a grey patina with scattered patches of pitting. Stock with moderate wear including scratches and light abrasions. Mechanically crisp. Bright bore.
