Rare Smoothbore Variation
Winchester Model 61 Slide Action Rifle.Serial no. 51611, .22 caliber, 24-inch round barrel with fixed front bead sight. Blued finish. Barrel markings read: MODEL 61-22 L. RIFLE/-FOR SHOT ONLY-.Smooth walnut pistolgrip stock and grooved fore-end. Checkered metal buttplate. Manufactured in 1941.
Condition: Very good to excellent. Retaining approximately 94-97% finish with light handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Wood showing minor, scuffs, scratches and dings. Barrel gauges at .27. Action crisp. Bright bore.
