Colt Lightning Small Frame Slide Action Rifle. Serial no. 52332, .22 caliber, 24-inch octagonal barrel with standard dovetailed sights and standard Hartford address. Tubular half-magazine. Blued finish. Sliding recessed dust cover. Case-hardened hammer. Oil-stained walnut stock and fore-end slide. Factory hard rubber buttplate with Rampant Colt logo. Manufactured 1887-1904. Total produced: 89,912 [see Flayderman, 5B-270]. Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 30-40% finish with scattered wear to relief edges and frame, mixed with grey-brown age patina.
