Description
U.S. Springfield Model 1884 Warner Bros. Prop Saddle Ring Carbine.Serial no. 317051, .45-70 caliber, 22-inch barrel with absent sights. Top of barrel marked: WB81350 and V / P / (eagle head) proofs. (eagle) and U.S. / SPRINGFIELD to lock. Smooth walnut straight stock with barrel band stamped U. Base of stock carved: FLP P 21. U.S. stamped metal carbine butt.
Condition: Good as configured. Overall showing noticeable signs of handling wear and patches of pitting. Heavy scuffs, dings and bruising present to wood. Large repair at wrist. Action good. Pitted bore.
