Description
U.S. Springfield Model 1884 Trapdoor Rifle.Serial no. 489392, .45-70 caliber, 32-inch barrel with fixed front sight and rear Buffington sight. Blued finish. Lock marked: U.S. / SPRINGFIELD. Smooth walnut full body stock with two barrel bands and sling swivels. Right side of stock stamped: CO. B. US marked steel buttplate. Ramrod.
Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a dark grey age patina with scattered handling wear and pitting. Wood showing minor scuffs and dings. Action crisp. Good bore.
