Description
U.S. Simeon North / Hall 1843 Percussion Breechloading Saddle Ring Carbine.Unserialized, .52 caliber, 21-inch barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Breechblock marked: U.S. / S. NORTH / MIDDLTN. / CONN. / 1847. J.H. stamped to right side of barrel. Saddle ring. Smooth walnut straight stock with two barrel bands, metal ramrod and flat buttplate. GWH cartouche to left side of stock at wrist.
Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with scattered signs of handling wear and patches of pitting. Dings and scuffs present to wood. Action good. Moderately pitted bore.
