U.S. J.H. Hall 1837 Breechloading Percussion Carbine.

Unserialized, .64 caliber, 23-inch barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Top of breechblock marked: J.H. HALL / U.S. / 1837. Breechblock release lever at base of stock, in front of triggerguard. Smooth walnut straight stock with two barrel bands and sliding bayonet. Hinged patchbox to base of stock. Metal buttplate.

Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a dark grey patina with noticeable signs of handling wear and patches of pitting. Saddle ring absent. Scattered dings and scuffs present to wood. Action good. Moderately pitted bore.
