U.S. Hall - North 1843 Breechloading Percussion Saddle Ring Carbine.

Unserialized, .52 caliber, 21-inch barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Blued finish. Top of action marked: U.S. / S. NORTH / MIDLTN. / CONN. / 1847. GWH stamped to right side of breech. Smooth hardwood straight stock with two barrel bands, cartouche to each side of wrist. Saddle ring. Metal ramrod and buttplate.

Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with light handling wear and very fine patches of pitting. Right side of lettering on action is becoming faint. Scattered dings and scuffs present to wood. Action not working. Mirror bright bore. From the Sylver Schaller Collection.
