Description
Sharps Model 1874 Presentation Sporting Rifle. Serial no. 160212, .45 caliber, 32-inch round barrel with hooded front sight. Barrel marked: "Old Reliable" SHARPS RIFLE CO. BRIDGEPORT and engraved: T.O. CONNER / PRESENTED BY THE BELDEN BOYS. Blued finish. Hooded front and vernier rear sights. Checkered walnut pistolgrip stock and fore-end. Checkered hard rubber buttplate. Weight: 9 1/2-lbs.Condition: Very good to fine. Retaining approximately 10-20% finish with scattered handling wear and fine to moderate patches of pitting. Rear sight slot vacant. Wood showing scuffs, dings and bruises. Action good. Moderately pitted bore.
