    Otto Bennewitz Single Shot Rifle.

    Serial no. 6067, .36 caliber, 28-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front sight and rear folding leaf sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Top of barrel marked: OTTO BENNEWITZ KAISERSLAUTERN. Checkered walnut stock and splinter fore-end. Sling swivels. Metal buttplate. Original brass museum inventory tag attached: J.M. DAVIS / 1965 / MEMORIAL.
    Sold to Benefit The JM Davis Collection at the JM Davis Arms and Historical Museum, Part II.

    Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 70-80% finish, with thin areas, handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Scattered scuffs, dings and scratches to wood. Action good. Lightly pitted bore.
