Maynard Target Sporting Rifle with Schutzen Configuration.
NVSN, 28-inch octagonal to round barrel with front and rear sight. Adjustable tang sight, hooded aperture front sight. Blued finish with case-hardened frame. Tang drilled and tapped. Left side marked EDWARD MAYNARD / PATENTEE and right side marked MASS ARMS CO. 1882. American walnut with schnable tip fore-end and nickeled Swiss buttplate.

Condition: Very good as cleaned and configured. Retaining approximately 40-50% touched up finish to barrel. 20-30% case-hardening to frame with balance including lever lightly pitted. Stock in good condition, with scuffs, mars and repairs, while fore-end has a darker finish. Fore-end appears to be a replacement. Metal and wood parts with some mold residue due to storage. Rear sight, appears original. Some flaking to nickel. Action good. Bore very good.
