Engraved German Single-Shot Target Rifle.
Unserialized, .36 caliber, 29 1/2-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front sight and folding leaf rear sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Elaborately scroll and game scene engraved receiver and lever. Dual triggers. Checkered walnut pistolgrip stock and fore-end. Metal buttplate. Original brass museum inventory tag attached: J.M. DAVIS / 8352 / MEMORIAL.
Sold to Benefit The JM Davis Collection at the JM Davis Arms and Historical Museum.

Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 60-70% of a thinning finish, with scattered signs of handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Noticeable scuffs, scratches and dings to wood. Action good. Lightly pitted bore.
