Description
Engraved German H. Burgsmuller & Sohne Single Shot Target Rifle.Unserialized, 8.15x46R caliber, 29 1/4-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front sight and rear peep sight. Blued finish. Elaborately scroll and soldier scenes engraved to receiver. Top of barrel marked: H. BURGSMULLER. Checkered walnut straight stock and fore-end. Case-hardened metal Schutzen butt. Sling swivels. Metal tipped wooden ramrod.
Condition: Very good to excellent. Retaining approximately 90-94% finish with some thinning to relief edges, handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Noticeable scuffs and dings present to wood. Crisp action. Strong bore. Collection of a Southern Gentleman.
