Description
Colt Model 1855 Revolving Saddle Ring Carbine.Serial no. 9434 [cylinder, triggerguard and upper tang], .56 caliber, 21-inch barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Cylinder marked: COLT'S PATENT MFG. CO. / HARTFORD CT USA. (crown) / V proof to left side of receiver. Case-hardened hammer. Brass triggerguard. Saddle ring. Smooth walnut straight stock with sling swivel.
Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with scattered signs of handling wear, age and patches of pitting. Noticeable scuffs and dings present to wood. Action not working. Pitted bore.
