Description
A.D. Perry Half-Stock Breechloading Percussion Rifle.Serial no. 578 [barrel and receiver], .50 caliber, 26-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Blued and case-hardened finish. Smooth walnut stock and fore-end. Metal carbine butt. Original brass museum inventory tag attached: J.M. DAVIS / 1360 / MEMORIAL.
Sold to Benefit The JM Davis Collection at the JM Davis Arms and Historical Museum.
Condition: Very good. Retaining traces of original finish, the balance a dark grey patina with normal signs of age, handling wear and patches of pitting. Vibrant case colors remaining. Scattered scuffs and dings present to wood. Action crisp. Lightly pitted bore.
