Description
Sharps New Model 1859 Percussion Breechloading Saddle Ring Carbine with Carbine Sling.Serial no. 35670, .52 caliber, 22-inch barrel with fixed front sight and rear ladder sight. Blued finish. Saddle ring. Lawrence & Sharps patent to right side of receiver. Smooth walnut straight stock and fore-end. Hinged brass patchbox to right side of stock. Brass barrel band and crescent buttplate. Sold along with T.J. Shepard leather carbine sling.
Condition: Very good. Finish a dark grey patina with scattered wear and patches of pitting. Few noticeable scuffs and dings to wood. Action crisp. Some cracking to leather.
