Description
U.S. Winchester Model M1 Semi-Automatic Carbine.Serial no. 1262778, .30 caliber, 18-inch barrel with standard military sights. Parkerized finish. Bayonet lug. Smooth walnut pistolgrip stock with sling swivel and oval cut oiler. Checkered metal buttplate. Winchester Repeating Arms Company Production Years: 1942-1945 (WWII) for military contracts; limited post-war commercial production.
Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 96-985 finish with light handling wear and a few fine spots of pitting. Scattered dings and scuffs present to wood. Crisp action. Bright bore. Magazine absent. Tom Mixon Collection
