Description
U.S. Winchester M1 Semi-Automatic Carbine.Serial no. 5681037, .30 caliber, 18-inch barrel with standard military sights. Parkerized finish. Top of barrel marked: W. Smooth walnut pistolgrip stock with sling swivel and oval cut oiler. Ordnance escutcheon stamped on the right side of the stock. Checkered metal buttplate. Winchester produced roughly 335,000 M1 Carbines during WWII.
Condition: Good to very good. Retaining approximately 96-98% finish with a few signs of handling wear and fine spots of pitting. Scattered scuffs and dings present to wood. Action good. Bright bore. Magazine absent. Tom Mixon Collection
