Description
U.S. Underwood M1 Semi-Automatic Carbine.Serial no. 2736187, .30 caliber, 18-inch barrel with standard military sights. Parkerized finish. Bayonet lug. Top of barrel marked: UNDERWOOD / 10-48 / (flaming bomb). Smooth walnut pistolgrip stock with sling swivel, oval cut oiler and vinyl shoulder sling. Ordnance escutcheon stamped on the right side of the stock. Checkered metal buttplate. Manufactured in October, 1943.
Condition: Good. Retaining approximately 92-94% finish with light handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Scattered scuffs, dings and bruising present to wood. Trivial carved starburst to right side of stock. Action good. Strong bore. Magazine absent. Tom Mixon Collection
