U.S. Rock-Ola M1 Semi-Automatic Carbine.

Serial no. 1701176, .30 caliber, 18-inch barrel with standard military sights. Bayonet lug. Parkerized finish. Flat bolt. Top of barrel marked: ROCK-OLA. Smooth walnut pistolgrip stock with sling swivel, oval cut oiler and vinyl shoulder sling. Checkered metal buttplate. Rock-Ola, a company known for jukeboxes, was contracted to produce M1 Carbines because of their precision metalworking skills. They produced about 100,000-110,000 M1 Carbines, making them one of the smallest M1 Carbine contractors, rarer than IBM, Underwood, or Winchester.

Condition: Very good. Overall showing light handling wear and very fine spots of pitting. Scattered scuffs present to wood. Crisp action. Strong bore. Magazine absent. Tom Mixon Collection
