Description

U.S. M1 Semi-Automatic Carbine by Inland. Serial no. 214927, .30 caliber, 18-inch barrel with fixed front and later adjustable rear sights. Inland stamped barrel dated 2-43. Parkerized finish. Flat top bolt. Push button safety. Nicely figured walnut stock with early features including "I" cut oiler slot, two-rivet handguard, high wood and single barrel band with no bayonet lug. Sling inlet with IO and ordnance bomb cartouches. Ordnance crossed cannon escutcheon on the right side of the butt with a circle "P" proof. Sold with an incorrect commercial leather sling.
Condition: Very good. Retaining the majority of the military finish with evidence of only modest handling wear. Spot of finish loss over serial numbers. Stock with modest wear. Front sling swivel a homemade replacement. Crisp action. Bright bore.
