Description
U.S. IBM Corporation M1 Semi-Automatic Carbine.Serial no. 1703751, .30 caliber, 18-inch barrel with standard military sights. Parkerized finish. Top of barrel marked: I.B.M. CORP. Smooth walnut pistolgrip stock with sling swivel and oval cut oiler. Checkered metal buttplate. IBM's production illustrates how American industry was mobilized during WWII, with even non-firearm companies contributing to essential military equipment.
Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 96-98% finish with light and handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Scattered scuffs present to wood. Crisp action. Bright bore. Magazine absent. Tom Mixon Collection
