Description
Belgian FN 49 Semi-Automatic Rifle.Serial no. 32093 [receiver], 7.62mm caliber, 23 1/4-inch barrel with standard military sights. Bayonet lug. Black matte finish. Left side of receiver marked: FABRIQUE NATIONAL D'ARMES DE GUERRE HERSTAL BELGIQUE. Smooth walnut pistolgrip stock with sling swivels. Metal buttplate with cleaning tool reservoir. The FN-49 is a highly regarded rifle from the post-World War II era and served in several national armies.
Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 94-96% finish with light handling wear and very fine spots of pitting. Few minor scuffs present to wood. Action crisp. From the Collection of James Schubert.
