Description
*U.S. M-1 Semi-Automatic Carbine by National Postal Meter. Serial no. 4086743, .30 caliber, 18-inch Underwood barrel dated 10-43. Parkerized finish. Bayonet lug. Maker's mark visible under rear sight. Walnut stock with P inspector mark on pistolgrip, AAK on left wrist and W.R.A./ G.H.D. on right buttstock. W also visible in sling cutout. Textured steel buttplate.Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 85-90% military finish. Vestige of dried lubricant on metal surfaces. Stock is fine, possibly lightly sanded. Cartouches are visible but not distinct. Stong bore in need of cleaning.
