Description
Remington Model 740 Woodmaster Semi-Auto Rifle.Serial no. 141389, 30-06 SPRG., 22-inch round barrel. Blued finish with plain walnut pistolgrip stock. Left frame marked REMINGTON / WOODMASTER / MODEL 740. Williams rear adjustable sight. Together with (3) four round 30-06 marked magazines. Appears to have original aluminum Remington buttplate. Manufactured between 1955 and 1959. Overall a nice early Remington rifle in the original 30-06 SPRG. caliber.
Condition: Fine, retaining most original finish with some wear and thinning to magazine load area and triggerguard. Stock with some dings, flaking and cracking. Some wear, scuffs and flaking to buttplate and in the area. Action crisp. Bore excellent.
