U.S. Harper's Ferry 1827 Full-Stock Flintlock Rifle.

Unserialized, .69 caliber, 42-inch barrel with bayonet lug and fixed front sight. Top of barrel marked: V / P / (eagle) proof marks. Lock marked: HARPERS / FERRY / 1827 and (eagle) / US. Smooth hardwood straight stock. Three barrel bands and two sling swivels. Metal ramrod, triggerguard and buttplate.

Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with scattered signs of handling wear and patches of pitting. Scuffs, dings and bruising present to wood. Action good. Moderately pitted bore. From the Collection of Dr. Phillip R. Rutherford
