Peabody Rifle by Providence Tool Company. No visible serial no., .45 caliber. 33-inch barrel with folding tangent sight. Snap underlever rotating block action with back action lock. Action marked with patent date and maker's name. Standard military configuration. Later sling.Condition: Very Good. Barrel shows 80-90% bluing. Action and lock shows light corrosion. Bore shows some heavy frosting. Wood shows nicks, scratches and some losses.
