Engraved German Hammerless Double Rifle.
Serial no. 1332, 8mm caliber, 25 3/4-inch barrels with fixed front and rear sights. Scope mounts. Blued finish. Top of barrel marked: W. OSCHATZ POTSDAM / HOFBUCHSENMACHER. Elaborately scroll engraved coin-finished receiver, lever and triggerguard. Checkered walnut pistolgrip stock and splinter fore-end. Sling swivels and leather shoulder sling. Crown accented in gilt to grip cap. Rubber recoil pad. Original brass museum inventory tag attached: J.M. DAVIS / 8402 / MEMORIAL.
Sold to Benefit The JM Davis Collection at the JM Davis Arms and Historical Museum.

Condition: Good. Retaining approximately 85-90% finish with a few thinning areas, handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Noticeable scuffs, scratches and dings present to wood. Action good. Strong bores. Discoloration to leather.
